Udyog Aadhaar
Udyog Aadhaar is now known as Udyam. There is a government registration for Udyog Aadhaar, Udyam registration, and MSME registration, along with a certificate of authorization and a special number. This institution was established primarily to support the government. One was to offer significant advantages to Indian small enterprises or industries registered with Aadhaar Udyog. The 12-digit Aadhaar Number of the director, owner, or proprietor of the entity must be provided. Whether the organisation is a limited liability corporation or a sole owner, this is a requirement. It should be in possession of the recognition certificate issued as part of the MSME registration procedure.

Udyog Aadhaar eligibility
Manufacturing, processing, storing, and providing services are all activities carried out by businesses with Udyam registration. Traders that purchase, import, sell, or export products are so ineligible to apply. However, you should be aware that in order for a firm to qualify as a small business and be registered as an MSME, it must fulfil a number of requirements.
- Microbusinesses with an investment of up to Rs. 1 crore and annual sales of up to Rs. 5 crore
- Small and medium-sized businesses: Minimum investment is Rs. 10 crore; maximum revenues are Rs. 50 crore.
- Mid-sized businesses – Up to Rs. 50 crores in investment and Rs. 250 crores in sales
Steps Involved In Udyog Aadhaar Registration Online
1. Login to the Government Portal for MSME Registration
In order to promote ease of doing business, the Ministry of MSME rolled out an online portal. The first step towards registering as an MSME under Udyog Aadhaar is to link to the portal, the link to which is as follows https://udyogaadhaar.gov.in/UA/UAM_Registration.aspx.
2. Entering Individual Aadhaar Number
The individual simply needs to enter the twelve digit Aadhaar Number issued to him or her in the requisite field provided on the website.
As mentioned above, in the case of the Partnership Firm, the managing partner applying for the MSME registration needs to provide his Aadhaar Number.
Similarly, in the case of a company, the authorized signatory applying for MSME registration on behalf of the company shall provide his Aadhaar details.
3. Name of the Entrepreneur
The applicant whose Aadhaar Number is provided in the field above shall specify his or her name in this section.
He or she must be careful while providing the name in this section as it should perfectly match with the name provided on the Aadhaar Card by the UIDAI.
4. Validating Aadhaar
After providing the above details, there is a button below that asks you to “validate and generate OTP”. By clicking on this button, the applicant would be able to validate his or her Aadhaar and would be able to fill the Form further.
It must be noted that an OTP will be generated and sent to the applicant’s mobile number registered with the UIDAI. However, if the applicant’s mobile number is not registered with the UIDAI, he or she needs to follow the instructions in the Pop-Up that so appears.
Once the OTP is generated, the applicant needs to fill the OTP and complete the Form further.
5. Filling Details in the Udyog Aadhaar Form
Following are the details that need to be filled by the applicant in the Udyog Aadhaar Form:

- Gender
- Physically Handicapped
- Name of the Enterprise
- Type of Organization
- PAN Number
- Location of Plant
- Official Address
- Date of Commencement
- Previous Registration Details (If Any)

- Major Activity
- National Industry Classification Code (NIC Code)
- Persons Employed
- Investment in Plant, Machinery and Equipment
- Details Regarding District Industries Centre (DIC)
6. Submission of the Udyog Aadhaar Form
The applicant simply needs to click on the submit button. This will lead to the generation of OTP that will be sent to the mobile number linked with Aadhaar. Enter the received OTP. The, enter the Captcha Code and click the final submit button.
How to Register for Udyog Aadhaar Offline?
You will need to visit your nearest Udyog Aadhaar Centre and use the form to update the details.
Step 1: Fill out the form. If you are ready to change your address, you will need to provide supporting evidence to the officer and the form. Any address proof which is accepted normally can be submitted here as well.
Step 2: After submitting the form, you receive a confirmation number that you can use to check the status of your application online. There is another webpage that should be used to track the status.
Step 3: An email containing the corrected Udyog Aadhaar number will be sent to the registered address. Save the details somewhere, and be careful not to miss the number.
How Can Udyog Aadhaar Details Be Edited?
For Udyog Aadhaar update, please follow the instructions below.
Step 1: Visit the Udyog Aadhaar website.
Step 2: Go to the page’s bottom by scrolling down. Click Udyog Aadhaar Update.
Step 3: Enter the Udyog Aadhaar number in step three. Choose the option to get an OTP. Currently accessible by email or a cell phone.
Step 4: Complete the on-screen captcha or verification code.
Step 5: Generate OTP by clicking “Confirm.”
Step 6: Please wait a little while if you haven’t already gotten the one-time password. There is also an option available to resend the OTP.
Step 7: Enter the OTP. Go to a different page to edit or update the information there. You may change information like adding a company name or changing an address, among other things. You must double-check your changes and use the Submit button after making any necessary changes. Wait for the page to load once you’ve submitted. Important information about your application will be on the next page.
Step 8: A confirmation number is given to you when you complete the form. Online access is now available to track the status of registration update requests.
